Classic Rock and Metal of the 70s, 80s, and beyond, with Emergency Programming originating from the WDER Emergency Operations Center, The National Weather Service, Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and other Alerting Authorities, through the use of the FEMA's IPAWSCAP protocol.
Emergency Programming is generated through a specially-designed piece of software for Windows machines, called PyENDEC, as well as the EAS 911 hardware Encoder/Decoder from TFT Inc.
WDER-TV [LIVE]
Rebroadcasted using an Icecast server for your viewing pleasure, my VHF Television station, WDER-TV. Expect to see Animation, Music Videos, and a lot of Experimental Programming, like the mesmerizing visualizations of the Atari Video Box Model C240, Prevue Guide emulations, Transmissions of SSTV Data, and more!
Like the FM station of the same name, all programming runs through EAS Hardware ENDECS and Analog Character Generators, which receive Emergency Messages for the entire United States via Relay Chains.
Notably, the Trilithic EASyPLUS EAS System Controller, of which was obtained from a now defunct The Weather Channel station in North Carolina. The Apache IceCast 2 server for both WDER and WDER-TV are provided by WDFA Radio, in Memphis, Tennesse.
